I have installed windows 10. Now my office 2010 is not performing properly. It becomes not responding frequently.
I have office 2010 running fairly satisfactory on windows 7. Now my laptop is upgraded to windows 10 and since then office 2010 is not performing properly. Frequently is stops responding. This starts with Excel not responding. I got advise Mr Doug Robbins, Word MVP to make repair from control panel. I did that and it started working however when I downloaded my bank statement in excel format and attempted to open , again excel stopped responding. I tried to repair again but it was not repairing. It was stalled after about 70 % progress for long for almost 12 hours. Then I tried to cancel repair which was also stalled for almost 12 hours. Then I stopped computer and attempted repair. I am successful to get responding excel. But I feel if I open the downloaded file it may stall again. This does not happen when office 2010 on windows 7 system which I rechecked. Please help to resolve this issue on this combination of office 2010 on windows 10.

It seems many people are having issues with Office following a Win 10 upgrade. I suggest you check the discussions at: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/word?page=1&tab=question&status=all

Hello,

I have a client computer who upgraded from win8.1 to win10. After doing so his office2010 would not let him save anything.

1) I have uninstalled office2010 and re-installed office2010 using windows 10. This did not help, all office programs seem to operate normally until you try to save something, when you push the save or save as button the program hangs and loses everything since it has to be shutdown by the task manager.

2) I switched word to run as administrator but this had no effect, it still hangs when I try to save,

3) I switch all office programs individually to run in compatibility mode using windows7 settings. This also did not help. The programs run fine, but hang permanently when you try to save.

I am now out of ideas.... anyone have a clue?

Microsoft you guys need to jump on this right away, it is a serious compatibility problem that is snow balling.
