I have been getting Errors 0x80040115 & 0x8004011D when Sending/Receiving Email through Outlook.
My notebook has been in the bag since mid April and now when I try to run Outlook and update the messages I keep getting two error messages - 0x8004011D and 0x80040115. When I hit the "send and Receive button it appears tht the send section seems to be working but no action from the receive side of things. i have tried just about every trick that i have read on the internet but nothing has worked. tis has take me 3 hours afterhours in the office and i am no nearer finding a solution. I', afaid that the staff are going to come to work tomorrow and find me still at my desk trying to nut out this problem !! Yes, ipconfig/flushdns does not work. I know that I am connected to the server because I have other programs running that require connection to the database on the server. It appers to be a blockage between my notebook and the Exchange Mail server. We are using a POP connector for our mail to access it from the ISP database and are running Win SBS 2003. My notebook is using Win7 and outllok is 2007. Nobody in the office is having this problem and when I access my emails from another PC I have no problem downloading or sending email. It is only with this silly Notebook. EVERY OTHER PC CAN CONNECT TO THE EXCHANGE SERVER OR DATABASES ON THE SBS SERVER. It is only this one LENOVO laptop that has thrown a fit and can't seem to connect with the Exchange server but at the same time can access the databases on the SBS 2003 server. I need a solution for the LENOVO and NOT the Exchange server. I can connect to the Exchange Server if I use any other PC in the office but when I try getting outlook on the Lenovo Laptop to connect it says it can't do so no matter what settings I use e.g. cached/uncached, encrypted/unencrpyted, I have been using this connection for almost 2 years without fail but suddenly after the notebook was not used for about a mont or so, (since 23/4/12) it hs not been able to regain the connection. I have tried running the repair tool in Outlook but each time it reports not being able to connect to the exchange server even though it has a network connection. All the data for the connection are correctly loaded but still no luck.

In desperation I turned to an IT Consultant for help when he visited recently to help me with other network issues that we were experiencing. The bottom line is that even though we replaced the profile it did nothing to improve the situation so we installed another Anti-virus and Malware program which discovered a couple of issues. Once we dealt with them the system worked. Unfortunately I did not keep a record of the particular bug that was causing all the trouble but if I do find out from the consultant I will post it here for future knowledge. Thanks for your concerns and help. Best Regards Trevor
