I have a frontend connector setup for relaying emails from copiers/servers on different ports 1025 and 1026 and both of them dont come up with smtp prompt anymore.

So we have a 2 CAS  3 DB backend setup.

One of the connectors we have on the 2nd cas(setup identically as the first)  just recently stopped responding to smtp.

The connection is made, but there is no SMTP prompt of any kind.

I tried rebooting the box and still to no avail.  Even restarting the front end transport service didn't do anything.

The relay connector I have does ports 25, 1025 and 1026 and the only one that comes up with an SMTP prompt is port 25 on this specific CAS box.

The other cas works perfectly fine and I cant figure out why its not coming up with an smtp prompt. Any ideas?

The ip scope is correct and so is the security settings.. what could it be?

See if it responds if you turn off the Windows Firewall.

Hello,

Please use telnet to check if 25 port is opened.

I recommend you run netstat -nao to check if othere applications that are using the port.

Turns out some other application suddenly decided to use up the ports.

Had to re-pick non-standard higher numbered ports.

Thanks for the suggestions!
