I broke it!
Panicked a bit when I learned that my static IP had been hi-jacked. Fortunately my service provider just gave me a new one but in the panic I have snaffued my exchange server. I have an external site where the mail.anywhere.com is pointing to my new static ip address. (i can ping it by name and resolve the correct ip address) I have obviously changed something on my exchange server but dont know what. I can no longer get my mx mail through to my sbs 2003/exchange server. and yes port 25 is open to the sbs/exchange box Is there something on my box that I have forgotten to change and resolve to the static ip perhaps? You may need to update an internal DNS record. Worth a look...

Hello, First, please check your external and internal DNS configurations. Then please run EXBPA to check whether this server is in a health state. You can fix some common issue with the help of EXBPA. Microsoft Exchange Best Practices Analyzer v2.8 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=dbab201f-4bee-4943-ac22-e2ddbd258df3&DisplayLang=en If the issue persists, please send the BPA report to me and I will help you narrow down the issue. Hope this helps. Thanks, Elvis
