I Can't recevied Emails from some domains...
Dears, I need help in the following: Ihave exchange server 2003 installed on windows server 2003. I cannot received emails from a certain domains although my colleagues which are on the same domain as me they received from these domains. From the message tracking center the emails didnt appear. When the emails received to my colleagues I appear as CC or TO. Is the problem from exchange server or from ISP? Thank you in advanced

Clarify: You cant receive mail from a specific external domain [so call it domain X], and message tracking center didnt show the message which sent to you, but your colleague can receive that mail, right? Troubleshooting: 1. Provide the Message History of the domain Xs mail that send to your colleague and youre on the To field 2. Provide me the related message tracking log [Email address] 3. Go to ESM, check the Delivery Restrictions tab of the connectors which route mail flow to your mailbox 4. Check Recipient Filtering in the Global Setting 5. Check Delivery Restrictions of your account on the ADUC Collect info: 1. Confirm version: windows client OS and outlook 2. Messaging tracking has been enabled on the server which holds your mailbox, right? 3. The behavior is permanent on your mailbox or occasionally? 4. You have checked your Junk e-mail folder, right? James Thanks for providing such useful troubleshooting list . I wanted to confirm that are these troubleshooting options only available on Microsoft Outlook 2003? If they are can you please guide me how to access the Global Settings and Delivery tab in it?

Hi, Student1: These troubleshooting options all stay on server; its not about outlook version on this stage. I just need to know the version in case theres further research Global setting part: Launch ESM [Exchange System Manager] ->expand Global setting->right-click Message Delivery->check Recipient Filtering tab And you want to know how to check Delivery Restrictions tab? 1. Launch ESM 2. Expand Administrative groups->Routing Groups->YourRoutingGroupName->Connector->right-click the connector in the right-pane->click Properties 3. Delivery Restrictions tab stays in it Also the Delivery Restrictions tab in ADUC [Active Directory Users and Computers] 1. Launch ADUC 2. Find issued user account, right-click it and choose properties 3. Exchange General tab->Delivery Options 4. Delivery Restrictions tab stays in it

Hi James, Thank you for your troubleshooting, - According to Delivery Restrictions in ESM, Recipient Filtering and Delivery Restrictions in ADUC all was placed to send/receive From/To every one without any exceptions. - Message Tracking had been enabled. - Outlook: Part of Microsoft office 2003 standard edition, Microsoft Outlook 2003 (11.8169.8172) SP3. - OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional version 5.1 SP2. - According to Message History how can I paste the screen shoot and attached the Log, but I will explain it. For information: 1- I cant receive from many domains. 2- The Same messages that arrived to my colleagues, I was TO or CC in it. 3- Through Message History all the recipients appearexcept me onlyin the messages that notarrived to me.

Based on your description, it seems that domain Xs mail can get to server, but it can send to you after splits the recipient.Thisbehavior only happens to your mailbox? Please also try to reproduce the issue, let one of those domains which you cannot receive to send two mails: one set recipient only to you, another set recipient to you and your colleague. Then wait message tracking log to be generated, and send to me, also the picture when you track the mails in the Message Tracking Center window You can upload the picture and log files to here: Microsoft Services File Transfer Website Password: zP@kpjIc7cd

Clarify: Mayoub@... is the affected mail address for M AYOUB LBBEY HR & CLAIM ASST, right? In picture 4, does Mayoub also can receive mail from A GHANDOUR LBBEY HR & CLAIM MGR? Does the symptom not happen when internal users send mail to you? Please help me to confirm the following info: 1. Check those received mails from domain x in Mayoub mailbox, are they all Reply and Forward mails? 2. In picture 4, A GHANDOUR LBBEY HR & CLAIM MGR send mail to domain x, and then Mayoub can receive mail when domain xs user used Reply All to that mail which like picture 5. So, please try to use Mayoub to send mail to domain xs user and ask that user to reply directly, see if mail can be received3. If step 2 can success, give domains user Mayoubs full SMTP address, and ask that user to compare it to Mayoub contact info in address book. Per my review, its possibility that Mayoub contact info goes wrong

Hi, Ali: Sorry for misinput in step 3, I didnt want you to check Mayoubs address in the ADUC I want you give domain xs user Mayoubs fully SMTP address. Then let he (she) send a test mail to Mayoub. Not add contact from address book, not use Auto Complete to fill in. Just manually input Mayoubs fully SMTP address in To field. Check if the mail can be received. I doubt that Mayoubs contact info is correct on domain x side
