ISA 2006 v TMG v Edge Transport Server
Hi All,
I’ve inherited an architecture that has an ISA2006 server located in a split back to back firewall configuration. There is a current project implementing SharePoint and
I need to provide extranet services for it. The environment also has an exchange edge transport server located in the perimeter, I’m making a case to uplift the ISA2006 to TMG, publish SharePoint and role the edge transport services in with TMG.
Can anyone confirm for me that TMG indeed supports all features of the edge transport server role and that ISA 2006 does not?
Thanks

TMG dont have any Exchange Edge functionality. But Edge and TMG can be installed on the same server, then you manage Edge via TMG admin interface..

Personally I don't like this, have seen to many strange issues in this combination such as things suddenly stop working, services dont start after a reboot etc.
