INSTALL EXCHANGE IN OTHER SERVER OF DOMAIN

hi, i have on an old server an installation of EXCH2013, not working now and with service stopped.

I don't want to save the old databases of mail.

It's correct to install exchange 2013, same license, on other server of the same domain?

Will i get some errors, if the installation find the forest already prepared?

Or it's better to install on other domain?

Thanks

Technically that is supported, but nobody who answers questions in this forum is qualified to quote licensing terms on behalf of Microsoft.  I strongly recommend that you uninstall Exchange from the old server or else it will stay in your Active Directory forever and undoubtedly cause you problems.

No.  I recommend that at this point you install Exchange 2013 CU3, which I assume will update the schema from the version you installed previously anyway.

Or it's better to install on other domain?

That wouldn't make any difference unless the other domain is in a separate forest.

Which kind of problems you mean, since that server will be formatted soon?

Only thing that is replicated is the AD on other 2 server(s) DC1 and DC2, and the third will be exchange CU3?

Thanks

Exchange will think that you have that server installed, that's what.

The only supported way to remove Exchange 2013 from your organization is to uninstall it.

ok, i will do it, but think if that server is not more available for any reason.

I will install a new copy on a new server, the installation will find the forest prepared...what will happen?

Hi,

As far as I know, before we install Exchange server, we need to prepare Active Directory:

Thus, there will be no error to install a new Exchange 2013 server.

Additionally, agree with Ed, I recommend you uninstall the old server:
