IMAP Account Deployment

In an AD environment, I am trying to deploy Office 2013 so that Outlook will create a new profile with a Gmail IMAP account. I can configure the .msp file with the right server configurations, but when it comes to username and email address, they differ for every user.

I could (which is what I attempted) just write anything and the user will be prompted to enter the credentials when they open Outlook, which is fine - the user is prompted for incoming and outgoing (when they send the first email) server username and password. However, the user is not prompted for the email-address, and emails fail to send without the correct email address. If the username is the same as email account I would write something like %username%@mydomain.com in the .msp file? This isn't always the case though. The user's email field in AD is configured with the right email, but there is no email environment variable, right?

Maybe there is something fundamentally wrong with what I am trying to do?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ramon:

This Im afraid couldnt be done with OCT. As profile has to be combined with an account info. It is not possible to new a profile without account information in OCT. The effect you want to achieve might need a bit scripting. This Forum will be the best place for scripting.

Thanks for your understanding.
