How to trim Exchange 2007 logs using another backup solution?
Hi,
I am using Acronis Backup and Recovery Server for server backups, but after a full image backup, it does not trim Exchange logs. I am running SBS2008. What other choices do I have? I am really committed to using the the Acronis...
Thanks,
Alan

If you backup your exchange data using any backup software, it should automatically clear the log file.
>>>> a full image backup
-> Are you using an “image backup”?

Image backup won't clear your logs, you need special agent on your backup software to that.
Your other option (not realy recommended) is to turn on circular logging on your exchange server.Yanir Ben-Nun / System Team Leader / IT / IS Professional

Please see the suggestions from Jon in
this thread, and
try the windows server backup to check the log truncation
Notes: For the question on the SBS server, please use the “SBS
2008” newsgroup which would be the best place for it
