How to stop exchange 2007 services
Hi, in Exchange 2007 we need to stop the exchange services to do something on the server. We have LCR Enabled and the other database is on another drive. Is there a particular order for the services to be stopped. I read an article that said this order. ms exchange Active Directory Topology servce mse xchange System attandant ms exchange information store ms exchange mailbox attendand and in our case would we also stop the replication service since we have lcr running. Would that be all we need to do. When stoping the information store does it do all the extra services like ms exchange transport, ms exchange mail submission. ms exchange search indexer, ms exchange service host etc. We then need to restart the services so would we restart them in any particular order. Could someone answer this urgently as it is critical that we fix something on the server. Thanks Kathie

There really is no required order, but check out this link. http://www.amset.info/exchange/shutdown-script2.asp
