How to share Outlook Calendar using Active Directory
I want to use Active Directory to share an Outlook Calendar without using Outlook itself to do this. The Properties page of a user account in Active Directory has the Exchange Advanced tab to set permissions. When I used this tab, it seemed that permissions can only be given to the entire email and not a specific Outlook folder like Inbox, Calendar or Contacts. I have no problem sharing individual folder in Outlook. When I tried this in Active Directory, only "Full mailbox access" permission seemed to work but it gave access to all folders in Outlook. I only need access to the Calender folder in Outlook. Any help will be appreciated.

I don't think this is possible. Active Directory is a directory of objects. A user account is an object (not a subfolder of someone's mailbox). The mailboxes are defined within the Exchange database, and the tool you have to use here is Exchange System Manager, which also does not have any folder-level permission controls. There might be a resource-kit type or 3rd party tool out there. If you find something,Post it back.

I found this, but I don't think it's exactly what you are looking for. It's probably just safer to use Outlook. MAPI Editor (English only) June 7, 2006. This tool, which replaces the current Information Store Viewer (MDBVU32), provides access to the contents of Messaging API (MAPI) stores. This is done through a graphical user interface.

If you figure this out...post it here. I'm running into the same issue. I've been looking to see if there's a powershell command that can do it...but no info as of yet.
