How to setup exchange 2010 to child domain
Our plan is to setup a main domain in the head office and child domain for 16 sub-offices. we need to setup exchange & AD to the head office and each 16 sub-offices. Each offices are connected via leased lines. All offices should have a single global address list. Is there a link for a step by step configuration for this? I'm a newbee with exchange 2010

I'm a newbee with exchange 2010 So you want to install in HO and all sub office? And why would you use 16 GAL. Installing exchange is not a big task....run all these commands in HO before installing exchange. Setup.com /ps Setup.com /preparead Setup.com /pd Setup.com /pl (if you are running any other exchange server other than 2010.) Once you ran these commands, let the information replicate to all the offices(Domain Controller) and once its completed start installing 2010 in HO and after that all the sub offices. For a newbee it's going be HUGE...........Task....Gulab | MCITP: Exchange 2010-2007 | Lync Server 2010 | Windows Server 2008 | Skype: Exchange.Ranger | Blog: www.ExchangeRanger.Blogspot.com

Hi for your above requirement, you need to follow 3 main steps 1. Preparing the Active Directive - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125224.aspx 2. Planning Exchange 2010 - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995902.aspx 3. Deploy Exchange Server in all domains - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124778.aspx note: without planning the exchange server 2010 deployment, dont proceed with the installing better you contact MS support on deploying exchange server 2010, for these much big deployment. or you can acheive it :)
