How to setup a auto-reply for a support@mycompany mailbox ?

Let me first mention that Out Of Office does not solve my problem and using a template for replying also does not do what I need.

I work in a support department and basically I need every time someone sends a mail at support@mycompany - the exchange server must reply automatically with an email "We received your support ticket". The bounce message rule also is not usefull due to the 79 symbols limit.

In Exchange 2010 this worked with transport rules and such, but apparently in Exchange 2013 it doesn't work like that.

I need a solution to this urgently, please advise.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The Transport Rule is the solution. As it worked with 2010, it should work with 2013 too..May be you didn't configure it well

Hi,

How do you set up the transport rule in Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013? Please post the detailed information, screenshot is better. I would like to help you to set up in Exchange 2013.

In addition, we can use Set-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration cmdlet to configure Automatic Replies settings.

Best Regards.

You can also set an auto reply rule on the mailbox itself. Select from the rule that it runs after every email is received and have server respond with specific message.

It shows error message "Cannot reply to message"

Any ideas why ?

Hi,

In Exchange 2013, there is an option called Mail Tip . In server, properties of the mailbox, Click MailTip "here you can provide message"

I need another solution, Mail Tip does not work for what I need done.

I need a solution that does not limit the amount of messages sent or the size of the message.
