How to setup Exchange server for a different public domain
Hi,
I am pretty new to exchange server. I need to deploy an exchange server in our organization. There is an active directory domain in the organization. The domain name is abc.com. This is the active directory domain. But, the public domain of the organization
is a different one. It is abc-us.com. The employees in our organization is having mail id's similar to
user@abc-us.com If i install an exchange server, the users are from the internal domain. So, i would like to know how they will be able to access the mails.
Can any one tell how their mails will be delivered? How should i configure my exchange server.
Regards,
Tom

You can use following cmdlets:
New-AcceptedDomain -Name "abc-us.com" -DomainName abc-us.com -DomainType Authoritative
To set it as default accepted domain use:
Set-AcceptedDomain -Identity "abc-us.com" -MakeDefault:$true
Additionally you have to setup your MX record properly
With kind regards

Hi Krystian.Zieja,
Thank you very much for the help. Is this all that I have to do? Do i have to create any send or receive connectors for the users?
