How to setup Exchange 2007 to receive email from multiple domain names?
Our company currently is receiving email from a single domain name 123.com. What we would like to do is to add another different domain name to the exchange server 2007. The new domain name is NAMEPLUS.com. I did set up the new DNS record and created the new MX record pointing to the exchange 2007 server – How ca I setup the Exchange 2007 server to receive email from both of the domain names? Any assistance with this issue will be much appreciated.Thank you!

Below are the steps needed to allow your environment to accept email for a new SMTP domain name. If you environment is authoritative for a the new SMTP domain name (to find out more information check out this article http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/planning-architecture/exchange-2007-smtp-namespace-sharing-different-relay-domain-types.html) you will need to add the SMTP domain name to a Accepted Domains. You do not have to apply the SMTP domain to user accounts just needs to be in a policy. Steps to add SMTP domain 1. Open EMC 2. Navigate to Organization Configuration > HUB Transport > Accepted Domains > New Accepted Domain > Enter the Name of the new SMTP domain and mark as Authoritative You should be good to go. If you want to add the new SMTP domain name to users accounts as a new SMTP address please follow the steps in this article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124401(EXCHG.80).aspx or http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/management-administration/managing-email-address-policies.htmlChriscbfive.comChristopher C
