How to setup Encryption

We are trying to setup users to encrypt emails to certain Government Agency's per HEPA.  However when we do the basic setup via MS Office 2010 Outlook, we are denied because we have to setup Certificates and Digital Signed Certificates.

Following the instructions per Microsoft Office Forum, it still comes back with the above issues.

What are we doing wrong :)

Thank you.

Hi,

Before encrypt your Email, did you get a Digital ID in place.

You can follow steps below to obtain a Digital ID:

  1. Click the File tab.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Click Trust Center.
  4. Under Microsoft Outlook Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings.
  5. On the E-mail Security tab, under Digital IDs (Certificates), click Get a Digital ID.
  6. Choose a Digital ID from here

Below 3 articles are information for your reference:

  1. Get a digital ID
  2. Use Digital IDs (Certificates) to prove your identity in Outlook email transactions
  3. How do I assign a certificate (Digital ID) to use in Outlook 2010

Let me know the result, thank you.
