How to set maximum allowed attachment filesize?
Using Exch2007 SP1. I have tried Set-transportconfig MaxReceiveSize but it doesn't make a difference. It seems the limit is actually lower than what I specify here. I did have Exch2003 in the org before (now decommissioned) but from what I read, if I have 2K7 SP1, the above command should override all settings. How do I find the true limit? and how do I set it? Thanks.

Hi,Yes, the limit is lower. What you set as the limit is the size of the message on the wire. If you attach a binary file it will be Base64 encoded and header added. The Base64 encoding is a 3 Byteon 4 Byte encoding plus it adds the 2 byte line end (CR LF) on every 76 byte encoded text.Regards,Zoltnhttp://www.clamagent.org - Free Antivirus for Exchange http://www.it-pro.hu http://emaildetektiv.hu

You need to verify limits of Send/Receive connectors also in Exchange 2007... Refer below article on where to set limits...
