Hi, I have an exchange server 2003 Std Edition installed on Windows Server 2003 Std. We have implemented a Recieptent Policy of deleting emails that are 45 days old. And this Policy has been scheduled to happen daily at 00:00. On Server deleted mails are kept for only 7 days. We are not having any backup or archival implemented. Now there is one email id for which i have to retrive mails which have been deleted older than a months time. Is there any way i can retrive the emails. Vijayendra

As you said , that got deleted a month back and you dont have back up. So I think no. Still you can have a look into the retention period and if this more a month , then you can recoevr the email.Raj

Agree with Rajnish, As you have 7 days retention period you can get mail. You should have schedule backup for exchange, its must for a messaging environemnt.Anil
