How to restrict email correspondence within a distribution group in Exchange 2010
Scenario: 1. Exchange Enterprise 2010 for Mailbox Server and Exchange Standard 2010 for Client Access Server 2. Total email account: 330 users 3. Created a Distribution Group which contain 100 users Question: 1. How do I restrict the new Distribution Group so that they can only communication among the members inside the Distribution Group, they are not allowed to send email to other users outside of the distribution group 2. And they are not allowed to send email to external email user (out of the Company) Anybody can enlighten me on this? Thanks in advance wisman

1.Open Distribution Group properties-Mailflow settings-message delivery restrictions 2.In the accept messages from - only senders in the following list. Add those 100 users. 3. For restricting users to send message outside the company create a transport rule.

In the distribution group -->properties--> Mail Flow Settings--> Message Delivery Restrictions-->properties, check option "require that all senders are authenticated" For more details : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124405(v=exchg.141).aspx#MDRestrictions Regards.. Mauro Fuentes
