I am trying to restore an exchange 5.5 user mailbox to a non- production recovery server, but it is going no where. Someone in my company has built up the exchange 5.5 recovery server with a different computer name, and domain from the original production exchange 5.5 which has already taken offline sometime back after it has migrated to exchnage 2003 environment. As the user now wanted some old data. I am trying to restore a user mailbox that was earlier backup from the production exchange 5.5 using backup executive 10d. There were information store and brick level backup that was backup to the backup tape media. Can anyone tell me is it possible to restore user mailbox data using brick level or by restoring entire information store to my recovery server in my scenario here. I actually try restore the single mailbox through the brick level backup , I am able to see the user mailbox in brick level , but when I select and restore it, it give me some error telling me something like access denied. I then restore the entire information store, but I am not able to start up my information store services after the sucessfull restore of information store, and event id 7024 was captured."The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service terminated with service-specific error 3355445011" Can anyone help me ?
