Hi, As far as I know, body is a HTML tag. And the message with HTML format should have this tag. But I have not heard about BodyPart_2.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Thanks Gen Lin-MSFT

Hi Gen, Thanks for your reply. The BODYPART_2 is in the IPM header. Our IPM header just like below and partner said that we should not have BODYPART_2. TYPE <IPM> DELIVERY_TIME <110328071714Z> ORIGINATOR </S=XXXXX/O=XXXXXX/P=XXXXX/A=XXXX/C=XX/> SUBJECT <ENS8999430> IPM_IDENTIFIER <4200> RECIP_REP_REQ <ALWAYS> RECIP_NOTIF_REQ <NEVER> MTS_IDENTIFIER <4200110328071714> CONTENT_LENGTH <728> BODYPART_1 <contGCA.naOaW> BODYPART_2 <contHCA_naOaW> CONTENT_ID <ENS.4200> SUBMIT_TIME <110328071714Z> Best regards, Ryan

Or there might be a graphic in the message (e.g. a company logo) that's send in a separate body part. The translation between MIME and X.400 is a pretty complex topic. RFC's 2156 and 2157 might be a starting point. Search for "X.400 MIXER", too. If you can, dump the X.400 connector and use SMTP. You'll be a lot happier. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi Rich Matheisen, Thank you for your feedback! How can we check for below case? 1. Sending both plain text and html body parts For below case, I think I can send an email to any account to see whether there is company logo 2. Graphic in the message (e.g. a company logo) Best regards, Ryan

Sending both plain text and html body parts I was never any good at examining X.400 messages. You can use a network monitor to capture the data and then work your way through the reconstructed packets. Wireshark has protocol decoders for an awful lot of stuff. That'd be the 1st place I'd look. >For below case, I think I can send an email to any account to see whether there is company logo 2. That's why I suggested using a network monitor. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi all, Thanks for all of your help! We find that the bodypart_2 contain "IPM.Microsoft Mail.Note" which related to rich text. We have updated the connector setting General-> uncheck "Remote Clients support MAPI" and check ""Do not allow public folder referrals". In the partner "contact", we have change the "mapiRecipient" as false. After steps 2, 3, we can send out the message with "real" plain text and the bodypart_2 is removed. Best regards, Ryan
