How to remove/hide content app from excel 2013 file

Hi,

When we insert a 'Task Pane App' to Excel 2013, we have the option to remove that app anytime from that excel file. My requirement is to remove/hide 'Content App' from Excel 2013 once it is not required (after performing certain functionality). I do not see any option to remove/hide the content app from excel file. Is it possible to achieve this by any other means.

Also is it possible to change/fix the default size of 'Task Pane App', the moment we insert it to excel 2013 file (similar to what we set for 'Content App'.

Hi,

After clicking on the "Apps for Office", can you remove the app by "Manage My Apps"?

To change the size of task pane, I would suggest to post a new thread on Office Developer forum. See if they can help on this.

Best regards,

Thanks Rex for your reply.

Actually I was specific to those "content apps" which are in "My Organization" (hence "Manage My App" option won't come), where I have access to all uploaded office apps by default.

Lets say, I have added one "content app" to an excel 2013 file and saved the excel file. Later on I want to remove that "content app" from the saved excel file. Not able to find option to remove that "content app".

Thanks in Advance

I had the same issue, and I would like to share what worked for me.

1. I saved the filed in older version of excel.

2. Then I select and press delete button to delete charts created by content apps.... one by one (because I inserted many in the process of finding how to delete them).

3. After I delete unwanted charts, I saved file in excel 2013.

I hope it could work for others too!

This works. Correct way should be to

-> Click on arrow/drop-down option at right top

-> Select

-> Press delete on keyboard.
