Hi everyone,

I've big problem about my outlook data file. (I use Outlook 2007)

My outlook data file it's too large (19 gb.) then i can't open it from Outlook program.

It's displayed an error: Errors have been detected in the file ....

I've tried to restore the data but can recover only 845 mb. from 19 gb.

(Use SCANPST.EXE for restore it)

So, do you have another way to recover it for me because i lost an e-mail almost a year.

If you don't have backup of emails and want to recover emails you have to repair your pst file with more powerful tool which can repair the pst file and recover all information from it.  Download a tool from http://www.nucleustechnologies.com/Microsoft-Outlook-Mail-Recovery.html for repairing your pst file and recovering all your emails.

You had recovered only 845 mb data from 19 gb after using scanpst.exe tool

This is hard for me to understand why scanpst.exe tool gave such poor result. 

But I want to post some techniques that can be really helpful for you to recover your corrupted or permanently deleted emails from Outlook.

Let me explain how to use scanpst.exe utility in such case

1. First of all take backup of your PST file from which you want to recover emails
2. Now, open .pst file using Hex Editor (If you have not, download - http://www.dl.msoutlooktools.com/hex-editor-setup.exe)
3. Select 13 values from 07 to next, like this: http://www.images.msoutlooktools.com/outlook-recovery/hex.png
4. Now, Go to edit option of menu bar and click on File Selection option and then click on Ok button
5. This action will replace all selected value to 00
6. After doing that, save PST file
7. In this step, run scanpst.exe tool and browse PST file that you edited using Hex Editor
8. Click on "Repair" button to repair .pst file
9. Now, open .pst file and check your emails

There is one more option to edit PST file using Hex editor. Just delete the position 7 through 13 with the space bar. And in the Hexadecimal system, this process actually delete 13 characters at these positions:

00007, 00008, 00009, 0000a, 0000b, 0000c, 0000d, 0000e, 0000f, 00010, 00011, 00012, 00013

(keep in mind that this process displays the value 20 each time when you will press space bar to clear the positions)

There are many ways to do same task but these methods only work for those Outlook profiles which are connected to exchange server not for those profiles which are using Outlook in stand-alone mode.

You are right scanpst.exe will work only on specific and low level issues. In your case its complicated and you need to go with any powerful tool like Remo Repair PST. Try it and revert back for queries..
