How to reach a particular version number
I need to make sure two Exchange servers have the same patch level (to use the /disasterrecovery switch). I know the first server is version 6.5.6944.0 but I don't know what patches that represents. Exchange SP2 is 6.5.7638.1. How do I figure out which patches I need to make the version match? Thanks.

See this link: http://capitalhead.com/articles/microsoft-exchange-server-build-numbers-and-release-dates.aspx Ver 6.5.6944 represents Exchange 2003 with no SP. Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

You can check the add/remove programs in control panel. That will list all the updates to the product. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Whew, upon further consideration, I was looking at my XP machine with ESM installed. That's why I came up with .6944 :) All the Exchange servers are .7638.
