How to put 3rd party e-mail address in GAL to be forwarded.
We have decided to put some consultants we use in our GAL. I have not done that in a long time and frankly have forgotten or the old way does not work. I am running Exchange 2003, and want to add address like the following to my GAL: Barack.Obama@company.com GeorgeWBush@consultant.com B.Clinton@gmail.com GHB@live.com This would allow staff to pull up Barack Obama and the email will go to his address outside of our company.

That is what I did (and I thought was the right way to do it) but e-mails keeps coming back with error message George Bush on 3/11/2010 9:04 AM The message could not be delivered because the recipient's destination email system is unknown or invalid. Please check the address and try again, or contact your system administrator to verify connectivity to the email system of the recipient. <mydomain.org #5.1.2>The address is correct and works when the person is not in the GAL

If you send an email to George Bush from Outlook by typing in the same email address that's on his external email address in AD, does it deliver?
