How to properly add a secondary email domain to existing Small Business Server 2008 Server (Exchange 2007 I believe)
Forgive me if this haas been asked before recently I searched but found nothing so Im posting a new topic here. I have been taked with adding a secondary domain to a server for email purposes only. We are running Small Business Server 2008 which has exchange
2007 on it now.
We have already created and pointed both a Cname and MXrecord to our static IP which is in use with another domain name as well. We are not looking to change the existing domain name and or server structure, but simply add the new domain
name to the email server so we can get emails in to usersw with the new xyz.com domain name as well as the current abc.com domain name.
I have in the past used the older exchanges which had an internet mail connector to do these things, but I believe things have changed since those days! Can someone please point me in the right direction. Also we want to turn on external mail server so we
can go to mail.abc.com as well through exchange.
Thanks in advance!
appreciate the knowledge.

We would like the ability to type mail.domainname.com/exchange and be able to get our email from external locations..
It's not turned on right now for the existing domain. We would like to add this for the existing/new domain name (external mail connector)

Is this a SBS thing?
If so, you may want to ask in the SBS forums:
