How to move exchange from 1 domain to another efficiently
I have an old 2003 domain running exchange 2003. I also have a new domain running 2008/64bit and exchange 2007 SP1. Is I'm trying to find the most efficient way to get email accross to the new domain. in 2000/2003 I used exmerge back then and have done same domain moves where exchange is just going to a new box. I have users with huge mailboxes(some as much as 8 GB). Does exmerge still work ok with 2007 exchange. I am thinking i can export their mailboxes to PST then import it back into 2007? Also Any ideas on how public folders can be done? I have a few of those too and the data is old archives they would ike to keep. Trying ot do proper reseash before it blows up in my face. Please help!!!!

Hi,Exmerge does work with exchange 2007, but you would have to split the large mailboxes into more PST files. The move-mailbox cmdlet can move the mailboxes for you instead of using exmerge and you can copy the public folders to a mailbox, move it to the new environment and then move it back to public folders.Leif
