How to move Inbox/Sent items of 30 days and older to Deleted Items folder

In Exchange 2013 the Retention tags does not have an option to move Inbox/Sent items of 30 days and older to Deleted Items folder like it does in Exchange 2007. Instead it was Delete and Allow to recover.  Migrating from Ex2007 to Ex2013  will cause many issues to our users with this change.

Are there any other options here? Perhaps EWS script. Please ad

You can try to do it by "New-InboxRule" cmdlet using "ReceivedBeforeDate" and "MoveToFolder" parameters. Let me know if it works.

Hi,

In Exchange 2007, we use Managed Folders feature to control the message retention period. In Exchange 2010, retention policy and retention tag was introduced. But, Managed folders, the MRM technology introduced in Exchange 2007, is still available in Exchange 2010. In exchange 2013, Managed Folders are not supported, though you would see commandlets available for Managed Folders.

Inbox Rule could be an option to move message. If you are looking for some EWS scripts to move messages, I suggest to post it on development forum.
