How to make configure Archive Mailbox to be protected
Hello Team, We have Exchange 2010 Archiving Server which is hosted for Rention Policy of 1 year to get it moved to the archiving mailbox. We want the emails which was located in archive mailbox of the user should not be deleted by the user after it has moved on it. The reason in case of audit if the user comes to know about the fraudness done long back go ..he just goes and deletes the emails in his archiving mailbox. This result to escape him from fraudness. We will not able to go journling for each users since the user count is 30K. Is the restriction can be applied after the mail is moved to archiving it should get deleted by the end user from the archiving mailbox.Exchange Queries

we have Exchange 2010 Standard CAL Hi Exchange Queries, You need Exchange 2010 Enterprise CAL as well for you Personal Archive mailbox. To meet your needs, you have to enable Legal Hold for users' mailbox as Jesse said. Thanks Frank for the updates, we have moved to Journaling since we have standard CAL and ignore the archiving :(...But the question we want the mails to get preserved for 5 years for about 20K mailboxes. If we moved to journling is there is a way to clear the Journal mailbox after every year by taking a copy and making a new one for the next year automaticallyExchange Queries
