How to log into someone's mailbox via OWA with Exchange 2007 with an AD a/c that doesn't have a mailbox?

Another alternative is to set the browswer to always ask for credentials. They you can just present the credentials of the other user and connect to their mailbox. Why you'd have everyone's password is kinda strange, though. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi Rich, It's a specific requirement for that a/c (AD Non mailbox) not common, I know. Currently the Ex2007 server is down so can't test it. However thanks a lot for the suggestions, I'll check and update the thread....... Thanks Again :) PradFind A Way, Or, Make A Way...........

Hi All, Just wanted to check what would be the correct way to do this:- SCENARIO:- User1:- user1@xyz.com has mailbox on Ex 2007 User 2 :- user2@xyz.com has AD a/c and permissions over User1 A/c and mailbox however doesn't have a mailbox for itself Upto Ex2003 I know it worked fine:- http://<IP-address of Ex server>/exchange/user1 And I could login to the mailbox of user1 by filling in the cred's of user2 == > However with Ex2007 the above URL type definitely doesn't work and even when I use the complete E-mail address of User1 like:- https://<IP-address of Ex server/servername>/owa/user1@xyz.com I still can't login with cred of user2 So just wanted to check if having a mailbox for any user who is trying to login to another user's mailbox in Ex2007 via OWA is a restriction condition or should it still work like it used to with Ex2003 Please advise and provide the correct URL syntax in case the above one is not the correct one. Cheers, :) Find A Way, Or, Make A Way...........

Hi Gavin, Thanks for checking back, however the Ex 2007 server (in Lab actually) is hard down and it is going to take sometime to get up. So I can't test any further any time soon. I'll mark this as answered and if required create a new one in future. Thanks for all the help guys....... Cheers :) PradFind A Way, Or, Make A Way...........

Log on to your own mailbox and then click on the little arrow to the right of your name at the top tight-hand corner. You need Full Mailbox Access on the other mailbox. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Thanks for the reply Rich, "Log on to your own mailbox and then click on the little arrow to the right of your name at the top tight-hand corner. You need Full Mailbox Access on the other mailbox. " However this applies when you have a mailbox and you try to login to another user's mailbox. I am looking at the option when the a/c is just an AD a/c in same domain but doesn't have a mailbox, the "Full Mailbox Access" right can be provided, So can that be done as with Ex 2003 this definitely works w/o any mailbox requirement. Please let me know about it. Cheers, Prad :) Find A Way, Or, Make A Way...........
