How to join two exchange server in two different domains.
we have two exchange server 2003 on two different domains,x.net and y.net these two sites are going to become one so that communication becomes fluid. so y.net will become y.x.net they both will be in x.net forest so my question is what about my exchange servers.a client on x.net shall be able to send a mail to y.x.net using his actual local mail. how to configure the the exchange servers to be able to communicate mutually as a single one.

You cannot really join the two servers together. The most you can do is share the SMTP address space between the servers. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321721 However that will not give you cross GAL or free/busy information. Ultimately you will need to plan to move the users from one of the servers in to the other, and then possibly think about rebuilding the now-redundant one and putting it in the same Forest and moving the data back.
