Dear all,I have enabled Instant messaging for 1500 user , i need to find out how many user are using IM and how many users are not using IM since 3 months.Exchange Admin

Unfortunately, theres no good method to query it in exchange 2000. The only way I can find is, to search IIS logs, which can tell how many users are using IM in logged day 1. Get the IIS logs: a. Start-> Run->Logfiles b. In the jumped window, enter W3SVC1 folder and get the logs Notes: Log files are created at midnight each day by default 2. Get users SUBSCRIBE events from log files: a. Please run the following command in the command prompt Find /i subscribe ex090408.log > c:\IMOutput\0408.CSV b. Open the CSV file by using Excel, select the column that contains the usernames and remove the duplicate entries. This will show a list of everyone that logged into IM on that day
