The user have a hundred messages in the mailbox.

I want to download only ten selected messages. I want to uset POP3 protocol because the mail client does not supportthe other.

Is there an Exchange server involved here?  What client are you using?

Are you using Exchange account with POP3 connection? Based on my knowledge, there is no feature in Exchange side to set the mail client only viewing ten specific messages in a mailbox.

If your mail client only support POP3 protocol, you can setup your Exchange account with POP3 connection. Then all messages in your mailbox would be visible in your mail client. You can just search those ten selected messages with specific keywords to load it.
