Hi, The behaviour could be Windows Internet Explorer related one. Please check if you use Windows Internet Explorer 6.0 to download attachment which has space in it's name and then to see if it will change to underscore character. There's one related kb article published by Microsoft. You can refer to it. Certain characters in a file name may be converted to underscores when a user downloads a file by using Windows Internet Explorer 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949197 Regards, Shafaquat Ali.M.C.I.T.P Exchange 2007/2010, M.C.I.T.P Windows Server 2008, M.C.T.S OCS Server 2007 R2, Phone: +923008210320

I already have the patch but that did not correct the issue. I have an open case w/MSFT now, and they are having a hard time w/it (figures...you author something like this but can't provide simple instructions on disabling...geez). Still seeking solutions to the problem.

My lab's environment is exchange server 2007 sp2 and my IE is 6.0. I haven't this problem so if your exchange 2007 server is sp1 please update your exchange server to SP2. I think the lack of patches or updates will cause this problem because there aren't many customers complaint this problem. Thanks Your expertise never fails to impress!

I have this problem with a new SBS 2008 installation. If I send the file with OWA and save using Outlook it is Ok. If I send with Outlook and then receive the file with OWA it changes the spaces to underscores.
