How to decommission the old one??
Hi All, We decided to migrate from 2003 to 2007 because wewere having some hardware issues with our2003 box, but unfortunately, directly after migrating the mailboxes successfully, we hadsome bad failures in our old exchange and it's not functional anymore andthe public folders (structure, system folders and instances) were not replicated. And for the sake ofbringing theservice up again for the users,I've configured the new exchange connectors (send/receive)and I've created a new OAB manually. the users can send/receive e-mails in& out BUT we have the following issues that we really need help with:Event ID 8207: Error updating public folder with free/busy information on virtual machine NEWEXCHSRV. The error number is 0x8004010f.Also we have the following transport errorslogged in the event viewer of the new exchange: Event ID 5010: No route has been created for public folder hierarchy CN=XX,CN=Folder Hierarchies,CN=First Administrative Group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=XX,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=XX,DC=local in routing tables.Event ID 5009: Microsoft Exchange cannot find the route to mailbox database CN=XX,CN=First Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=OLDEXCHSRV,CN=Servers,CN=First Administrative Group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=XX,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=XX,(....) in routing tablesEvent ID 5020: The topology doesn't contain a route to Exchange 2000 Server or Exchange Server 2003 server OLDEXCHSRV.XXX.local in Routing GroupEvent ID 5006: A route to Mailbox server CN=OLDEXCHSRV,CN=Servers,CN=First Administrative Group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=XX,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=BTI,DC=local could not be found for store CN=Public Folder Store (OLDEXCHSRV),CN=First Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=OLDEXCHSRV,CN=Servers,CN=First Administrative Group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=XX,(.....). Recipients will not be routed to this store. The main thing is that we need to decommission the old exchange so the Active Directorygets clean ofall therecords that points to the old exchange and get itpoint to the new exchange only. We really need to configure the Outlook Web Access again and solve the OAB sync issues. As the matter of fact, I tried to use the ADSIedit.msc tool to modify the AD, but I'm not aware of all the places or the records that need to be changed. I would really appreciate your help with my critical issue. Thanks in advance.. ISD Administrator
