How to create two connectors in exchange server 2003 with same cost
You can either create two connectors or create a single connector and list both smart hosts on the same connector.
It doesn't load balance though, it simply does round robin.

No matter how many SMTP connectors or virtual servers you have they
all use the same IP address on the machine. There's no "load
balancing" built in to Exchange, just "round robin" if you use
multiple smart hosts on the same connector.

Hi,
You can deploy a single send connector with multiple smart hosts.
As far as I know, when you configure that way, the send connector uses them in a rotating order, so that the smart hosts forward email equally.

We have an exchange 2003 and two email gateways. My intension is to provide load balancing for outbund emails from exchange server to internet. S i need to create two connectors. First connector will forward to first gateway and second
connector will forward to second gateway. Both have address space * and cost is 1.I think then mails will flow tho both connectors.....
Is it possiblw and work load balancing???
