How to configure Deleted Items Policy on Database Level?

Hello,
I configured Manage Content Settings on the Deleted Items under Manage Default Folders Settings for 30 Days, When Items moved to the Folder, Delete Permanently. I configured Policy against the Deleted Items under Manage Folder Mailbox Polices. I enabled
Messaging Records Management For 1 Hour, from 9am to 4pm Sunday through Saturday.
In test Mailbox that having Deleted Items since 2011, I enabled the Messaging Records management against the Deleted Items Policy that I created in the Manage Folder Mailbox Polices.

I run the command in the PowerShell Start-ManagedFolderAssistant -identity mailboxservername on the HUB Server and on the Mailbox Server and nothing happened.

Any help?
Thanks,

Hi,
I have never found that the triggerforRetions action "WhenMoved" has been working well for the Deleted Items Folder. I have tried it many times and it always ends up that Im using "WhenDelivered" instead. That has always worked for me.

Morning,
did that change and it works fine.
One more question, how can I apply it to more than one user at once?
Thanks,

Hi Hussain,
I'm glad to hear that it worked for you too.

Why not use EMS to apply the the policy to more users at once.
Here are two examples:
Get-mailbox -OrganizationalUnit "domain.local/London/Users" | set-mailbox -ManagedFolderMailboxPolicy "Name of Policy"
Get-mailbox -Server SERVERNAME | set-mailbox -ManagedFolderMailboxPolicy "Name of policy"Martina Miskovic

Hi hms 24,

I would suggest you could confirm whether the mailbox apply the the policy firstly.
You could use get-mailbox to confirm it.

Regards!

Hi Guys,
Most of my users are using OWA in Exchange 2007 and they are neglecting my emails to cleanup their mailboxes especially the Deleted Items Folder. Is there a way I can configure a policy on the deleted items to be cleaned on x days on the Database level /
Distributions Group level / Organizational Unit Level? They are around 2000 users.

Thanks,

You should configure Record Management - especially Default Managed Folders Settings and Policy - see

Hi,
In the Default Managed Folder the Policy under Deleted Items that I made, I changed the Retention Period Start to:
When Delivered, end date for calendar and recurring tasks.
Action Taken: Delete Permanently.
Let me see by running this command Start-ManagedFolderAssistant -identity mailboxservername
