How to change the alias of a mailbox in exchange 2010
Hello:During the creation of mailboxes in a new Ex2010 server one of them had a misspelled Alias. How can I change it?... it's AD is ok but the alias wasn't hence the e-mail address was wrong too so the user can't receive any external messages. I did the change in AD but it doesn't reflect on the e-mail addressThanks

Can you navigate to the Mailbox in Exchange 2010 Management Console and make sure the changes are applied there. Recipient Config --> Mailbox --> right click user --> properties --> alias and user information. You may also need to reapply your Email address policies for the change to email address. Org config --> Hub transport --> Email address policies --> apply to all there. Shaun

Thank you Shaun...The person at the console didn't actually changed the alias field, he was only changing the e-mail address.. so it was as simple as changing the alias... it updated automatically the SMTP without problems..Lino
