How to best allow an external network computer hosting an Application to trigger email Using OnPremise Exchange Server 2013

Hi All,

How to allow a computer installed with application to trigger email in the following scenario

1. The app server is hosted outside the corporate n\w (Hosted in some vendors Cloud n\w)

2. We are running exchange 2013 CU5

3. App vendor want to use our corporate exchange server IP / URL in their App & trigger email

4. The email ID should be in our corporate email ID format - ex: abc@domain.com

I take it they want the app to be able to send as a Mailbox within your Exchange organization ? the first thing would be what endpoints do you have published to the Internet ? generally people will have OWA, Outlook Anywhere (or MAPI/HTTP) and EWS published to the Internet (you can check you external connectivity via https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/ ). If you do have EWS published externally then this will offer the easiest method eg https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dd633628%28v=exchg.80%29.aspx

Cheers
