Hi, everybody.
I'm starting this thread here coming from here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_365hp-onenote/how-do-i-backup-a-onenote-notebook-from-the-cloud/3bbcd827-f010-4e05-91f6-c302c798ac20
I'll paste the post:
Regardless OneNote's own caching and backup capabilities, users usually expect IT admins to back them up with a copy of their data if needed.
From what I see here https://support.office.com/en-nz/article/Back-up-notes-8f4741b6-7526-426b-ad94-1063c529b233 OneNote performs automatic weekly backups to the local hard drive. I would think when storing in the cloud it works similarly. Still, as Terry asked, some feel more confortable having a backup in a physical drive you hold in your hand.
Now from Bernd's reply I see users can export notebooks as one file, but that would require end users intervention.
How could an IT admin perform say daily backups of users' OneNote data onto a separate disk drive and that will be restoreable without affecting OneNote sync process across devices?
Thanks
