How to archive to Online Archive automatically
Is there a way to tell if my inbox is already auto archiving on a regular schedule to my Online Archive with Office 365?  I don't think it is currently.  Or how would I set that up from my Outlook?  or is that something an admin would have to do.

Hi,

We can't tell this from the user's Outlook, actually there is few we can do on the Outlook client about Online Archive. For questions about the Online Archive feature in Office 365, I suggest you post the question in Office 365 Community forum:

Hi,

Yes Melon Chen is right. First you follow his suggestion and after that you can also refer the below mentioned steps: -

To set an archive policy:

  • Right click the folder to which you want to assign an archive policy.
  • From the pull down menu that appears, select Assign Policy.
  • From the Archive Policy pull down menu, choose the archive policy you wish to apply.

Note: Using the procedure above, you may also set a retention policy that will automatically delete messages in custom folder after 1 month, 6 month or 1 year.

For more details and assistance to manage your archive folder in Office 365, follow this link: -

Thanks, I saw those options, but I don't explicitly see where it said that would move the stuff to the Online Archive mailbox, so wasn't sure.  Is there somewhere it shows that?  or is it just assumed?
