How to allow users in different Exchange 2003 systems to access each other Calendars?
Hi, What is the best solution to allow users of two seprate Exchange 2003 system (because of mergers) to access each other Calendars? The infrastrucutre we have is as follow: Basically we have three sites in three locations (all on Exchange 2003). We currently use an application called Simplesync to replicate Contacts between the sites. We implemented an MPLS network to connect all locations. We created a common parent AD domain in the main location and a child AD domain common to the other two locations yest we still have the legacy domains in existence in these other two locations with some users still remaining on these. The other two locations Exchange servers are kept in their respective legacy domains. Our externally public Internet domain MX record points to the main location and therefore all mail is sent to the main location. Then we use an application called MailMarshal that redirects emails to the other two locations by setting the primary SMTP of the users of these other two locations as the main location domain name and the secondary SMTP as their legacy domain names. We looked at using the Microsoft InterOrg Replication Tool but it seems that this requires the primary SMTP addresses to be all the same as the main location domain name but SimpleSync replicates contacts with the legacy SMTP as the primary address. We have also investigated third party solutions such as GALSync but we feel these are also unworkable within our current configuration. Any suggestions or pointers are highly appreciated. Thanks, Alaeddin

You want free/busy access only? The InterOrg replication tool would do this. Full calendar sharing is not possible outside of an Exchange 2003 org AFAIK. Mike Crowley Check out My Blog!
