How to allow external email to send email to distribution list
I’ve request from external users to send email to our distribution list. By default required that all senders are authenticated meaning (internal to internal only) .If we uncheck all senders be able to send. My question is we only want specific sender from external and required that all senders are authenticated. I tried to search from internet but none of related

I dobt beleive that can be done, as external senders arent authetificated. U cant try adding a contact for that external user, allowing only him to send to the dist group and dechecking the require atuhentifcation. Rgds

Agree with Zarko. But when you add contact for that external user and allow only that sender, the DL will not receive emails from any other users (internal or external). If you added any entries under "Accept mesages only from Only sendes in below list" then only the entries added will be able to send mail to that DL whether the check box "Require that all senders are authenticated" is selected or not. You may check the below technet article for more details. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124405(EXCHG.80).aspx

Just create a mail contact with external user's email address and add that user as a member of the Distribution list and test the mailflow.Regards, Pushkal MishrA

Hi Rodzuan, Other one work around, we could not set the "required authenticated", and then create some transport rule to block others except the special external users. Regards! You must create the rule on Exchange server in EMC under Organization Configuration->Hub Transport-> New transport rule.

Hi Rodzuan, What I mean is that you could set the action whatever you want, such as delete the email, or forward them to other mailbox, and so on. Regards!
