How to add a new subdomain to Exchange and OWA?
We have an existing DAG with 2 mailbox servers, a CAS server and a DC. Users access email remotely by going to https://xyzcompany.com/owa. Now they want to add another subdomain that will be separate from Exchange OWA login https://xyzcompany.com/owa and have different, separate email users in it that would access Exchange OWA login as https://abc.xyzcompany.com/owa. I have been searching for a step by step article to do this but can't find one.

The login for OWA and the email address have no connection at all. Therefore if you are putting users in to sub.example.com they can use the same OWA as everyone else. If you want a seperate URL then you will need to have the name on the SSL certificate, a second web site and create the new directories using the various commands. Personally I wouldn't bother. Ok, but how do I go about creating another domain for sub.example.com with it's own email addresses reachable by OWA in Exchange when example.com already exists?roxymuzick@hotmail.com

From an Exchange point of view you just add the sub domain as an additional Accepted Domain and if you wish email address policy. sub.example.com and example.com are two different domains as far as Exchange and the internet is concerned. You will need to speak to whoever is hosting your domain name externally about setting up the sub domain, with its own MX records (which can be identical to MX records for the main domain). Simon.
