How to Remove Exchange-Server from EMC
Hi there,got a problem over here in our testnetwork.We had 2 Exchange Servers. One of them has ben deleted, because it was a virtual machine.There is no possibility to restore the server, so i got a leaf-object in my exchange management console of EXServer02, wich has been deleted.How can i now remove this thing as serious as possible?Thanks for some inputs,uerueluem

It is not supported/recommended to remove Exchange server manually without proper uninstall, you need to recover the server and uninstall it properly. However it is your test environment so you can remove the server manually from AD database with ADSIEdit and remove the computer object from AD and from all Exchange groups... Remove Exchange 2007 configuration server object in Active Directory. Using ADSIedit remove server Object at: CN=Configuration, DC= Domain_Name ,DC=com, CN=Services, CN=Microsoft Exchange, CN= <Organization_Name>, CN=Administrative Groups, CN= Exchange Administrative Group (AGname), CN=Servers, CN=<Server Name> Remove the servers machine account from all Exchange groups: Exchange Servers and Exchange Install Domain Servers.
