How to Recover a Deleted Mailbox
Hi all, Im reading the technet article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997182(EXCHG.80).aspx on the procedure how to recover a signe mailbox. There is a sentence: "To reconnect a disconnected mailbox where the user object is still in Active Directory directory service, run the following Exchange Management Shell command:" An afterwords the scripts follows. Im a but confused what does the part "the user objet still in AD" mean? When i delete the mailbox i delete the user also? Cant a connect the mailbox to a diferent user when i recover it? Tnx All

Hi, To reconnect a disconnected mailbox where the user object is still in Active Directory directory service, This mean that if you are connecting mailbox with same AD which it was associated before, But you can also connect disconnected mailbox with other AD account. See the section in "You removed a mailbox by using the Remove-Mailbox cmdlet without the Permanent or StoreMailboxIdentity parameters and now want to reconnect the mailbox to a different Active Directory user account" in below KB. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201701(EXCHG.80).aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232039(EXCHG.80).aspx Anil
