Yes, you need to enable and configure Outlook Anywhere on the Exchange 2007 server(s) as well. These two links should get you going: Configuring Outlook Anywhere for Exchange 2007 SP1 http://www.exchange-genie.com/2008/02/configuring-outlook-anywhere-for-exchange-2007-sp1/ Screencast: How to Configure Outlook Anywhere in Exchange Server 2007 http://www.netometer.com/video/tutorials/windows-2008-how-to-configure-outlook-anywhere-exchange-2007/ These are the basic steps. However, it is strongly recommended to use a reverse proxy, such as ISA 2006 or TMG 2010, to securely publish Outlook Anywhere, in addition to OWA and ActiveSync. MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M

Outlook anywhre is rely on OWA settings, means your OWA should be working for Exchange users. Also you need to allow outlook Anywhere feature for user mailbox (Go in user mailbox property) and enable it. Also You can use the EMC or the Shell to disable/enable Outlook Anywhere on the Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Client Access server for your organization Configure Client Access Server Properties: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124503.aspx Anil MCC 2011,ITIL V3,MCSA 2003,MCTS 2010, My Blog : http://messagingschool.wordpress.com

OK, then you most likely have a certificate as well. Let's say you access OWA with https://mail.domain.com/owa, you can use mail.domain.com for Outlook Anywhere. There might be some issues with clients prior to Windows 7, see the link below: Which name should I use as Common Name for my UC certificate? https://exchangepedia.com/2007/08/which-name-should-i-use-as-common-name-for-my-uc-certificate.htmlMCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M

Yes, then you need a certificate. Take a look here. If you want to deploy a commercial certificate instead of a self-generated, UC certificates are inexpensive at Go Daddy. Exchange certificate http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/exchangesvrgeneral/thread/bd26d572-a93e-497a-9002-ebbd6500f3d5 Go Daddy SSL. A brief summary here: 1. Prepare a certificate. It is recommended to use a trusted third party certificate. A self-signed certificate is not supported for Outlook Anywhere. Note that the CN is important. For more see Microsoft articles below: Planning for Your Organization's Namespace http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb851505(EXCHG.80).aspx Exchange 2007 lessons learned - generating a certificate with a 3rd party CA http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/02/19/435472.aspx White Paper: Exchange 2007 Autodiscover Service http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332063.aspx 2. Prepare an external DNS record and print it to your CAS proxy server’s external IP address. To do this, you need to contact your external DNS service provider or ISP, and co-work with your network administrator. 3. Install and enable the Outlook Anywhere; Configuring Outlook Anywhere for Exchange 2007 SP1 http://www.exchange-genie.com/2008/02/configuring-outlook-anywhere-for-exchange-2007-sp1 How to Configure Outlook Anywhere in Exchange Server 2007 http://www.netometer.com/video/tutorials/windows-2008-how-to-configure-outlook-anywhere-exchange-2007 4. Configure the Outlook profile to enable Outlook Anywhere. Configure Outlook Anywhere in Outlook 2007 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179036(office.12).aspx Hope it is useful.
