Check that first storage group to see if there are two system mailboxes in there and one is disconnected. If so, make sure there are no users on the database. If so, you should be able to delete the database. Dismount the store, delete the DB and mount it again. As long as there are no users on it. Also, how many database do you have an what version of Exchange are you running.
