How secure is ActiveSync compared to Blackberry's Enterprise Servers.
I am looking for documentation that states clearly that the ActiveSync is as secure as the Blackberry Enterprise Server when it comes to sending and receiving email if the traffic is intercepted
in countries such as India or China.
Is there a document from a reputable source maybe saying that ActiveSync is not secure in those countries or any country?
I have read all of the technical documents on this but none state a comparison to other protocols or methods or the probability of the information being exposed in those countries.
Do anyone know of such a document that states this clearly.

I can't think of a particular document that details this information but tests have been done by the various government bodies around the world so that would be a good place to start looking.
Device security is a pretty minor factor compared the human that is carrying it around. The most likely loss of mobile data is from devices being stolen or left in bars etc.

In my opinion BES is going to be a lot more secure. Read about it below:

You have to understand how these protocol works or read Tanenbaum

I'd like to add that BES Supports 3DES - 128bit and
AES - 256bit encryption. Encryption is negotiated between BES and Device during Enterprise Activation and will always use the higher encryption out of the two if both BES and Device support it. The AES encryption for BlackBerry has been around for
about 5 years.
