Hi, Check "MS Exchange System Attendant" service is set to run under Local System account. I hope that u have logged in to the system using builtin domain administrator. If its not so then check whether the logged in user is member of "Exchange Organization Administrators" and "Exchange Public Folder Administrators" security groups. Also check this if above steps dont solve your problem. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb218344(EXCHG.80).aspx Regards, Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com

Hi,Whether any error message appear in the Application Event Log when mail enabled Public Folder? Is only one Exchange 2007 mailbox server deployed in the environment?ThanksAllen

Hi Allen, I can see below log in application logs:Event ID 9389: The task failed to correctly generate RUS information [Proxies, Addresslists, Policies included] for this object, error '80004005'.No other error except for the one already mentioned earlier.. Their are several (4) exchange mailbox servers, 4 CAS/hub servers, only one of the mailbox server has got a public folder. We have one exchange 2003 mailbox server too, which is hosting enterprise rus.

I did check this, the service is already set to run under Local System account and the account used has got the enterprise admin rights. Ok your user has "Enterprise Admin" rights, but Have you checked whether the logged in user is member of "Exchange Organization Administrators" and "Exchange Public Folder Administrators" security groups. If adding these security groups still doesnt solve your problem then perform following steps to check it. Steps: Add a new user in AD. Add following security groups to its member of properties. Administrators (Domain\Administrators) Domain Users Domain Admins Enterprise Admins Exchange Organization Administrators Exchange Public Folder Administrators Now log in to Exchange server using this user and check mail-enable PF. I am asking to do so because I also had this error some months ago when programmatically mail-enabling PFs, and then resolved it by creating a user and adding above groups to its memberOf property and then running the Application under that user. It resolved my issue. Regards, Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com

Hi, Did u check it with built in Domain Administrator accout or some other account as i suggested? I suggested you to create a new account and just add above mentioned six groups only, no other groups shud exists in memberOf property of this user. Even it didn't work with builtin administrator in my case with above six groups, so I created a new admin user and successfully resolved that error by adding those 6 groups to it. So if u were testing with builtin administrator then test it again with a new user with only those 6 groups in memberOf property. Hi Qazi,This has been tested with a new account too after making it member of all the groups you mentioned. (though the old account too was not a built in account and was member of all these groups). Still the issue persists...
